They are developing technology to predict space weather, including radiation storms and solar flares. She is in charge of a group that is sending tiny satellites into orbit to monitor such events in real time. She's using her wide tech experience to maintain vital systems on Earth functioning properly and to help make space safer for astronauts.

Anush Manukyan, Co-Founder & Director @ Luxembourg Tech School (EdTech & AI)

<a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/anushmanukyan">Anush Manukyan</a> is a PhD in computer science, who is all about making complex tech interactive and creative. She is one of the founders of <a href="https://www.techschool.lu/">Luxembourg Tech School</a>, where they teach high schoolers how to build real tech projects using AI and robotics.

She works with teenagers on initiatives including creating intelligent apps and launching weather balloons. She co-leads initiatives that encourage young women to consider jobs in finance and digital innovation since she is passionate about encouraging more females to pursue careers in technology.

Co-Founders of WeSTEM+ (EdTech)

WeSTEM+ is a nonprofit based in Luxembourg that helps women and underrepresented groups explore and succeed in science, tech, engineering, and math (STEM). It was launched in 2024 by three women – <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/alexandra-nastase92/">Alexandra Nastase</a>, <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/patriciasouza11/">Patrícia Souza</a>, and <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/vmoschou/">Vasiliki Moschou</a> – who had previously worked with the local chapter of Girls in Tech. When that global group shut down, they took the opportunity to build something even bigger and more inclusive, covering not just tech but the entire world of STEM.

Alexandra is all about data and AI. She used to work in marketing but made the jump into tech because she wanted to make a bigger impact. At WeSTEM+, she leads the BI Academy, which helps people with no tech background learn how to work in IT. She's also super passionate about getting young girls interested in science and coding early on.

Patrícia handles events and partnerships. With a background in event planning, she makes sure WeSTEM+ is always connecting people through meetups, workshops, and big events like “Data World 2024.” Her goal is to make sure everyone feels welcome and supported in the STEM community, no matter their background.

Vasiliki is the one who keeps things running smoothly behind the scenes. She’s an IT and business analyst with experience in both government and private companies. What is a Limited Liability Company (LLC)? Origin, meaning, and international use

The term “Limited Liability Company” (LLC) is one of the most widely used concepts in the business and legal world, but at the same time it is also one of the most diversely interpreted notions.&nbsp;

In its broadest sense, an LLC simply refers to any commercial company in which the liability of the partners or shareholders is limited to the capital they have contributed to the company. This means that in the event of financial problems with the company, the personal assets of the partners are not compromised beyond their initial investment.

Under this general definition many corporate structures worldwide, such as the Société à Responsabilité Limitée (SARL) and the Société anonyme (SA) in France and Luxembourg, the German GmbH, or the Spanish Sociedad Limitada (SL), meet the criteria for “limited liability.” According to this, in theory, all of them could be classified as “limited liability companies.” However, in legal and business practice, the term LLC has a more specific and technical meaning that varies depending on the jurisdiction:

As a result, although there are a large number of corporate structures that offer limited liability, the term LLC in the modern international context is more commonly used to refer to private, flexible commercial companies geared toward small and medium-sized entrepreneurs and generally subject to restrictions on raising public capital and listing on the stock exchange.

To find the IRR, the equation of the present value of future cash flows equaled to the purchase price is set up:

Solving the equation, we find that the IRR is 0.057446876, or 5.7447%.

For this example, a Luxembourg company obtains a loan from a financial institution with the following characteristics:

This gives annual payments of 57,718.30 euros.

198,000 = 57,718.30 * (1 + IRR)^(-1) + 57,718.30 * (1 + IRR)^(-2) + 57,718.30 * (1 + IRR)^(-3)

Solving the equation, we find that the IRR is 0.064402888, or 6.4403%. This IRR is higher than the nominal rate due to the effect of the origination fee.&nbsp;

Il n'y a pas de meilleure façon de commencer que par définir ce qu'est le coût amorti, alors allons-y : le coût amorti est une méthode d'évaluation comptable utilisée principalement pour les actifs et passifs financiers à long terme tels que les prêts, les obligations, les créances et les dettes. Selon cette méthode, la valeur des actifs ou passifs financiers est ajustée à l'aide du taux d'intérêt effectif afin de refléter la valeur comptable réelle de l'instrument à un moment donné.
